The author sent me this lovely and educational phonics book, which is full of enjoyable and engaging activities for preschoolers. This book is designed to keep preschoolers occupied and to reinforce what they have learned in school.
This book is divided into three parts:
Part 1: You can learn the letters of the alphabet, practice writing them. You can also trace and colour the letters while engaging in various activities.
Part 2: You can learn to read, write, and spell words that you see often. These words have between one and six letters. You will learn through various activities. It also has options to learn sight words through word search puzzles.
Part 3: you can learn and practice CVC phonics words using different activities.
This book has a list of 405 sight words and 150 CVC phonic words. The book uses a step-by-step approach to build skills. It starts with easy lessons and gradually gets harder. This helps your child learn and understand better.
The book ends with a fun certificate. Kids can write their names on it. It’s like a prize for learning all the level 1 phonics skills. I really like this book. It’s a great thing to take with you when traveling.
Thank you, Dede and Caterpillar Kidz Press, for giving me an early copy (ARC) of this book. All my thoughts in this review are my own.
