It’s the story about a tiny brown mouse who’s ignored and forgotten amongst the huge animals of the African plains. Mouse wishes he could roar like Lion. So Mouse sets off on a journey to find his roar, he discovers that the lion is scared of him. The two become close friends and realize they are better together than apart. He also discovers, even the biggest people are scared sometimes and even the smallest creatures can have the heart of a lion!

The illustrations are so bright and this is such an inspirational story for all ages. It talks about courage, confidence and self-esteem for young children. The final line was so good, “we all have a mouse and a lion inside” is the greatest discovery for children to celebrate that we are all different yet contain similar characteristics in a unique way.
