Agan Adhigaram consistently delivers excellent books. Their new book, Kadhaippoma, is a collection of ten moral stories for children who enjoy listening to different stories or for children who want to tell one-minute stories in school. This book contains short and simple stories that teach children about morals in an easy-to-understand manner. One might think this is just another moral storybook, but the illustrations bring this story to life. The use of different Tamil words and the high-quality paper make this book stand out from the crowd.
This book contains ten stories that convey moral lessons. The stories are based on conversations between two people, religious teachings, or how to break away from old traditions. The book will take children on a journey from ancient traditions to those of the present day.
Before purchasing this book, it’s important to note that it contains pictures of religious deities and discusses Hindu poojas. If you’re interested in introducing different religious traditions, this book is an excellent resource. However, if you do not want to expose your child to other religions, you can simply use it as a read-aloud book without showing the pictures to the child.
Apart from the disclaimer above, this book is an excellent resource for practising Tamil and learning new Tamil words. Many of the words were unfamiliar to me, and I enjoyed discovering their meanings.
I received the book from publisher Agan Adhigaram for free to review; all words are my own. You can purchase this book from Amazon or on their website https://aganadhigaram.com/books/slyU5umXNmzL11TqswVd
