BOOK: LOVE MONSTER AND THE PERFECT PRESENT

AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR: RACHEL BRIGHT

PUBLISHER: HARPER COLLINS CHILDREN’S BOOKS

PAGES: 32

AGE RECOMMENDED: 3.5+

It is almost Present Day in Cutesville and it is the best day for them, and it only happens once a year. Love Monster wants to get the perfect present for his very special friend. He goes on a hunt for the best present for her. He soon realizes that finding the perfect present is not easy at all. He found many nice and shiny gifts, but they were very expensive and Love Monster had not saved up enough money for those kinds of presents. He comes to the conclusion that he can make a very special gift for his friend who he cared so much about. Love Monster realizes that the perfect present doesn’t have to cost very much to mean a lot to someone.

This series is not that good as the rest of Rachel bright books, but I like the message that comes along with it. I can remind Nathan each time this story is when he asks for a gift. A book that can pick up conversations and we can discuss different types of gifts with them.
