Inventor Adventure is a fun story for kids. It tells them to try new things and learn from their mistakes. The book also teaches kids about science in a fun way. Most importantly, it tells kids about a real invention that they can make at home. This helps kids be more creative. In addition to teaching STEM concepts, the book also takes readers on a parallel journey to explore beautiful life lessons.
Lilo is a creative young person. He has a problem keeping his special plants alive while he’s away for the summer. They need water every day, but he’ll be gone for a month! Lilo thought hard and came up with an idea. He built a self-watering system for his plants. It’s a machine that gives them water when they need it. Lilo’s story isn’t just about inventing something. It’s also about being strong and never giving up. He had to try many times before he got it right. But he never gave up. He learned a lot from this experience. He learned that it’s okay to fail. What’s important is to keep trying until you succeed.
Lilo’s science and life lessons came from different adults he encountered when he was about to give up on his invention. The resilience he needed to build the machine was within him, and the adults around him paved the way with their encouraging and valuable lessons.
The illustrations are beautifully vibrant. Each page includes blue or green text boxes where the author shares interesting scientific facts and life lessons. On the last page of the book, the author has consolidated all the checkboxes and created a beautiful necklace, inviting readers to pause and reflect on how they can apply the lessons learned from the book in their own lives.
This book is perfect for both children and adults. It teaches an important lesson about emotions: that it is okay to feel emotional when things don’t go as planned. It’s normal to get frustrated and have a moment of anger, but the key is to never give up.
