Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Mathew 7: 24-27
So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
Isaiah 59: 19
The other day, the verse from Isaiah reminded me of the story of two people who built a house.
One man built a house on a rock and the other man built a house on the sand. Both were happy seeing their house, but when it rained and flooded, the house built on the rock didn’t fall and the house, built on sand, washed away.

This is a simple parable told by Jesus and loved by all young kids. But what does it teach us? Where should we keep our trust? We should be wide awake and vigilant to know our enemy. We never knew, just like a flood, our enemy could attack us. Where do you put your trust?
Are we praying only during our difficult times or are we thanking our Creator every day?
Let’s think for a moment!
