BOOK: SOLOMON CROCODILE
AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR: CATHERINE RAYNER
PUBLISHER: MACMILLAN CHILDREN’S BOOKS
PAGES: 32
AGE RECOMMENDED: 3+
Solomon is a mischievous crocodile who just wants to play alongside the other animals; however, these other animals don’t want to play with Solomon. But eventually, Solomon finds someone else who is also causing chaos. Could it be the perfect friend for a lonely crocodile?
A great book for the read-aloud and the illustrations are brilliant. The Solomon character is well-drawn and one can see the twinkling mischief in Solomon’s eyes. The texts are bold and rhyming. We got intruded by Solomon’s eyes and Solomon reminded me so much of Nathan.
It’s a fun book to read with your kids. There’s a sequel to this story and I can’t wait to read it with Nathan.
