Nathan loves reading about sea creatures. It all started with one glow-in-the-night book and he is still fond of any sea creatures. Knowing that I was gifted this book last Christmas. This book talks about the experience of marine biologist Warren Willmott. In 1920, he went for a 6-week intense research on Australian treacherous water. He talks about different yet interesting sea creatures like leafy sea dragon, Grey reef shark, sea wasp, Blue- Ringed Octopus, Hawksbill Turtle, Dugong, and many more. Each sea creature is explained, in short, along with a bold illustration.

This book comes with 63 pieces to build eight ocean animals and a removable diorama. You can build a 3D model using these puzzle pieces. The illustrations in the book are close to real pictures of each creature and we enjoyed the journal typed illustrations on each page. The author did great work in including information in a child-friendly fashion.

The puzzles can be done by a child with adult supervision. We enjoyed this book, and it was the perfect addition to our sea creatures resource.
