DAY 6:STABLE
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
Philippians 2:6-7 kjv
What an amazing verse! Jesus made the whole world, he is the king of kings. He could have chosen a mansion for his birth, but he chose the stable, which none would have chosen. He came to earth in a low form, so that he knew about the suffering of s common man. What a wonderful God we serve.
This story cat in-the-manger is a very interesting one—the nativity scene is told through the eyes of a cat and he has to give up his place for a special visitor. The cat stays in a barn with cows, chickens, goats, and sheep. Suddenly there comes a visitor—it’s Mary, Joseph and a donkey. He says, on a cold winter night, how a baby was born, how the donkey acted funnily and how the baby had visitors. We would have heard the nativity scene, although our lives, but this is the first time I am hearing a story from the eyes of a cat. The watercolour illustrations were lovely and had a unique twist on the Nativity.
