DAY 14 CHRISTMAS TREE

He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

Galatians 3:14

The cross is a symbol of shame. Jesus took that shame and bore the cross just for us. It is also said that those who hang in a tree are cursed and how blessed we are to have someone who took away our curse and gave us eternal life.

Every year, to celebrate this joy, we keep the Christmas trees. It brings us joy and every year Christmas tree kindles the best memories.

I stumbled upon the book, Pick a Pine Tree, and it’s one of the best books about the Christmas tree.

This story is about a family going to choose their Christmas tree. It tells how they choose the tree, and how the family decorates it and finds a perfect spot. Although the plot is simple, the illustration magically takes us to a whimsical wonderland. Each rhyming line will rekindle our memory of the Christmas tree, which we keep in our home.

The illustrations on each page are spellbound and the lines on each page are rhymingly written. The author has taken each one of us to a memory line and kept the Christmas tradition alive by writing a wonderful book.

While reading this story, I remembered how I longed for a Christmas tree when I was a kid and one fine day, my dad bought us the tree for me and my brother. I still love decorating the tree and this year my kid made a disaster by breaking our Christmas tree, nevertheless, my husband was kind enough to replace us with a disclaimer that will not be replaced for a few years.

Does your memory rekindle again when you set up your Christmas tree? Do drop your comments!
