HOW TO SET UP AN AIRPLANE SMALL WORLD PLAY?

Small-world play integrates a child’s imagination by creating a scene using toys and other figurines. The scene helps the kid in storytelling or creating their own imagination in the form of a play. For instance, you want to learn about aeroplanes and set up a small play to enhance their learning. They also help develop vocabulary and we may find a child using lots of words while playing. A concept learned through play is never easily forgotten by a child. Set up a small play with the available resources and your child’s play pattern.

This small world play is to explain to Nathan about Aeroplanes and Helicopters because each day we have helicopters patrolling around our area in the morning. Also, a few flights crossed and he started asking me questions about what those were and why they were crossing. He has familiarized himself with those sounds, and it was fun setting up this play for him. This play emphasises aeroplane take-off and landing. We are yet to learn about the airport and how passengers are boarding the plane.

I used a road track from Play Bug Toys as a highway. Mega Blocks as a control tower. Few wooden cars and wooden helicopters and aeroplanes. We clubbed a few toys to create this scene and Nathan had fun playing with this.
