The woods are fun and the humour-filled story about foxes and their hunt for rabbits. In the woods there lived three foxes: a tiny fox, a tall fox, and around the fox. They are always in search of rabbits, and each page takes us through the foxes hunting in carrot fields or pumpkin patches. The readers will be amused how the tiny fox says no rabbits around, but we can find the rabbit very closer to the fox. Mostly, they were fooled by the wrong board’s someone laid for them all over the woods.
An instance where the rabbits were very close to the fox, yet it was illustrated in a way they cannot see them. The illustrations on each page are so inviting to the readers and you can giggle on each page while reading this book.
This part of the story is equally amusing, where they discuss doughnuts or acorns and stop hunting for rabbits.
We enjoyed the twist at the end where the rabbits took over the woods. I found the end very amusing and funny, how the foxes were hanging in the rabbit’s trap.
I would recommend this extremely engaging book to add to your home library. The foxes and rabbits were brilliantly illustrated I loved that they were all individual and unique to one another.
This book will help to develop the kids reasoning skill and it helps a lot in vocabulary development because each page is so interactive. Nathan and I enjoy reading this book very much and often we end up in a riot of laughter.
The only page I didn’t like in this book was using the word ‘stupid’ I don’t think a three-old kid wants to hear this word. I usually skip the word while reading aloud.
