DAY 20: FRANKINCENSE
And he shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meat offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meat offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour, even the memorial of it, unto the Lord.
Leviticus 6:15
An aroma was pleasing to God in the olden days. According to the law of Moses, there were different offerings done in the olden days. One of them was burning oil, flour of meat and Frankincense which was done by the high priest on the altar. It was believed that the burnt offering was accepted by God to take away their sins.
We choose to read The great Christmas pudding rescue. A lovely story about a town called Pudding Town: Like every year, they geared up for Christmas to bake a Christmas cake. Every year, a pudding cake comes to town and delivers the materials to bake. This year, the train got stuck in the snow and if they don’t find an alternate way to find materials, their Christmas will be ruined. They write a letter to Santa and fortunately, Santa’s friends could help them. This Christmas was different for them as they shared, laughed and hoped more to bake their biggest pudding right in time.
With a lovely illustration, the hope for Christmas is delivered beautifully.
