DAY 24 MANGER

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the LORD. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.

Luke 2: 11-12

Angels told the shepherds they would find a baby who would save the world wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a feed trough in the stable. Why was Jesus born in a manger? Because it’s a lowly place and anyone can meet him. Jesus always says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. He is the only person who can help us to take away our burden and he always welcomes us with both arms, just like his birth which is open to all.

We chose to read this beautiful book called The Star maker is a story about the creator who made the stars and created the whole world. But one fine day, the Star Maker decided to step down from heaven and made his home under the stars he made. He became a baby to be born among the animals in the Manger. This beautifully illustrated book reminds everyone to remember the star-maker from his birth to his death. It also reminds us of his sacrifice and whenever we see the stars, we gladly remember the Star maker.
