Joseph, the Father of Baby Jesus, was engaged to Mary and when Joseph found out Mary was pregnant, he wanted to secretly divorce her. But when the Angel said you’re not supposed to do that and she was conceived by the holy spirit, she obeyed and together they bought Messiah to the world.
We chose to read the book What’s A Christmas. It’s a story that happened at the South Pole, where penguins lived. They never heard of Christmas until an elf landed there on a Christmas Eve from Santa’s sleigh. So the elf said he would teach about Christmas and soon he started telling about it. To bring in the holiday spirit, he said he brought a Christmas tree and then decorated it. They bought a tree and hung fish as decorations. Next, he told them to gift a simple gift to their loved ones. Lastly, he asked them to sing a Carol and they tried to sing a Carol as best they could. Now it’s time for the elf to go to the North Pole. Will Santa come to rescue the elf or will he get stuck with the penguin until next Christmas?
This a short, simple story about Christmas for people who don’t know more about it.
